Quakertown Community Airport
Welcome to the QPA!
The Quakertown Pilots Association is an active group of pilots, aircraft owners and friends based or operating from the Quakertown Airport. We meet monthly to plan projects and activities for the betterment of the members, airport and local community. Our group gets together on weekends for impromptu flyouts to local destinations and every two to three months plans "official" trips to interesting destinations. Recently we flew to Penn's Cave for an afternoon and have flown the Hudson for a tour of the NY City skyline and a luncheon at the Aero Squadron in Caldwell, NJ.
Many of the QPA members are also EAA members and Young Eagles events are held monthly. The QPA has set a goal of having fifteen of its member pilots fly ten Young Eagles missions. The Quakertown Airport is subject to frequent TFRs due to proximity to the DC SFRA and Camp David. Pilots should frequently check authoritative websites for current information or contact Flight Services at 1-800-WX-BRIEF.
